First we  designed the characters with Super Sculpy.
We burnt it to harden the sculpy and wrapped it with

paper-mesh, let it dry and then colored it.
We shot the animation on a glass-layered table 

using a green\blue screen.

We then erased the blue\green screenand planted the characters in the final backgrounds and added shadows to fit the scene using After Effects.
